✨ About

Fieldwork Mission Rock is the Berkeley craft brewery’s 3,750-square-foot ground-floor taproom in the Visa building, next to its China Basin Park beer garden and just across the cove from Oracle Park. It opened in late July 2026 and pairs Fieldwork’s rotating beers with a full-service kitchen and the brand’s first cocktail program. It’s a casual, TV-friendly brewpub that suits a stop before or after a Giants game.

⭐ Review Summary

4.5 (30 reviews analyzed)
Reviewers like the beer, the family-friendly indoor space with plenty of tables, and the views toward Oracle Park. The Infatuation’s September 2026 review calls it a great choice for a stop around a Giants game, while noting the smashburger is greasy and the dining room can get overrun. One reviewer’s burger never arrived, and another visited during the soft opening, so early service may have been uneven. Treat the score as provisional: the sample is small, and the Toast ratings come from the restaurant’s own reservation platform, which tends to run high.

🎯 Good For

Sports fans, groups, families with kids, craft beer enthusiasts, casual drinks with a light bite, locals in the neighborhood

Double-patty smashburger: caramelized onions, and the dish reviewers and the menu mention most. It’s satisfying but messy.

Garlic fries and fried pickle spears: shareable sides the Infatuation singles out as beer pairings, though I only found them named in one review.

💡 Traveler Tips

Reservations are available through Toast, and you can also order to-go. If the dining room is packed, the beer garden outside is a fallback for a drink.

💼 From the Business

Fieldwork describes this as its newest San Francisco taproom, a short walk from Oracle Park. It serves its award-winning beers and non-alcoholic drinks, a full cocktail menu and an all-new food menu of smashburgers, sandwiches, salads and shareable bites, plus a kids’ menu. You can drink in or take beer to go, with pickup, local delivery and California-wide shipping.
